John Darnielle is an author and musician based in Durham, North Carolina. His novel, Wolf in White Van, was a New York Times bestseller, a National Book Award nominee, and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for First Fiction. His second novel is Universal Harvester, from which he’ll be reading from during this event. He is also the songwriter, composer, guitarist, and vocalist for the band the Mountain Goats.
